This entry level program was established in 1975 to teach the Gestalt
approach to mental health. It is based on the belief that a person most
completely learns by being part of an experiential process. Our students
learn Gestalt “from the inside out.” We offer a Certificate of
Completion after 200 hours of training consisting of 120 workshop hours,
20 lecture series hours, 10 hours of individual counseling, 50 hours of
weekly group participation and the satisfactory completion of 10 book
reports.
To graduate, a 20 to 30 page paper or equivalent multi-media project
demonstrating understanding of Gestalt, its application and personal
growth experienced by being in the program is to be presented to a staff
member and fellow students.
Students have two years to complete the 200 hours required, and we
invite you to attend as your schedule permits. Our once a month weekend
workshops and weekly theory classes are taught by our staff members,
fellow graduates and also guest faculty members from other institutes in
the US and Europe. The year-round program is open to everyone. No
college degrees or prior knowledge of Gestalt are required to attend in
whole or part. You may attend one or two events, or as many as you want
during the year, without participation in the certificate training
program. However, if you choose to enroll in the 200 hour training
program, you may do so at any time during the year by requesting a
registration form from our office. There is a $250 registration fee and
we will keep track of your attendance hours for training credits. Join

Our programs are open to the public for personal development and those in
the counseling field for training. You may attend as many events as you wish
whenever you wish.
No prior experience in Gestalt or any workshops or counseling approaches is
required. A desire for self-awareness, more successful life experiences and
better communication skills is all that is required. No prior experience
needed if you decide to join our training program… a desire to improve
yourself and your skills in your personal and/or professional life is
enough. The workshops are informal, user friendly, supportive and fun. Join
