It is based on the belief that a person most completely learns by being part of an experiential process. Our students learn Gestalt “from the inside out.” We offer a Certificate of Completion after 200 hours of training consisting of 140 workshop hours, 30 theory class hours, 30 hours of weekly group participation, the satisfactory completion of 5 book reports and 15 hours of community volunteer mental health service.
To graduate, a 12 page written thesis is to be presented verbally to a staff member and fellow students. Students have two years to complete the 200 hours required and we invite you to attend as your schedule permits. Our once a month weekend workshops and theory classes are taught by our staff members, fellow graduates and also guest faculty members from other institutes in the US and Europe. The year round program is open to everyone. No college degrees or prior knowledge of Gestalt are required to attend in whole or part. You may attend one or two events, or as many as you want during the year, without participation in the certificate training program. However, if you choose to enroll in the 200 hour training program, you may do so at any time during the year by requesting a registration form from our office. There is a $25 registration fee and we will keep track of your attendance hours for training credits. Join us!
This program consists of book reports from our selected reading list, written reports of video and audio taped workshops and theory classes. You may acquire a certificate of 100 hours training in Gestalt with Psychogenetics, NLP, Hypnosis or other subjects. Request our book, video and audio tape list. There is a $20.00 registration fee.
This program is by invitation only to graduates of our 200 hour Gestalt Basic Training Program. The training involves co-leadership of an on-going group with Anne Teachworth and practice teaching of theory classes at the Institute. There is no cost to the student. However, all fees that might be paid to the student from group co-leadership, teaching of theory classes and presenting workshops are waived by the student and paid to the Gestalt Institute.
This program is open to graduates of our 200 hour Basic Program, practicing professionals or those currently enrolled in degreed mental health programs. It is also open to graduates of other accepted disciplines if approved by the Institute. Advanced training is available in specific topics such as NLP, Gestalt, and Psychogenetics. Programs are individually designed and Certificates for Completion are awarded. There is a $40 fee to enter.
Pre-requisites are reading the book, Why We Pick The Mates We Do, and attendance in at least 8 Psychogenetic workshops (48 hours total) where you will explore your own imprinted interactional patterns and learn how to change your own patterns first. Level One requires 50 hours of credits and gives you a Psychogenetic Coaching Certificate.
Also required is the writing of a two page book report on Anne Ancelin Schutzenberger’s,
The Ancestor Syndrome: Transgenerational Therapy and the Hidden Links in the Family Tree. 2 hours credit.
Level Two is open to you even if you have not yet completed Level One but are working on the requirements for Level One.
Level 3 is by invitation only after satisfactory completion of Levels 1 & 2. Participation in at least 8 Inner Series workshops as a co-facilitator is required. Experience interpreting at least 10 childhood history charts, and supervision of 10 of your client sessions.
Certificate of 200 hours Basic Training in Psychogenetics awarded after satisfactory completion. Opportunity for referrals of clients and supervision available.

Our programs are open to the public for personal development and those in the counseling field for training. You may attend as many events as you wish whenever you wish.
No prior experience in Gestalt, The Psychogenetic System™, NLP, or any workshops or counseling approaches is required. A desire for self-awareness, more successful life experiences and better communication skills is all that is required. No prior experience needed if you decide to join our training program… a desire to improve yourself and your skills in your personal and/or professional life is enough.
