Anne Teachworth, Director, CGC, CPC, DAPA, CMM, Fellow, American Psychotherapy Assn. founded the Gestalt Institute of New Orleans/New York in 1976. She has also maintained a private practice specializing in Couple and Parenting Coaching and is the author of the following three works which describe her own Psychogenetic Model of transgenerational coaching:

Anne has had several articles about The Psychogenetic System of family coaching, her transgenerational approach, which appear in magazines and newspapers across the country. She is currently finishing two more books, entitled “History Repeats Itself” and “The Inner Couple.”
Anne Teachworth received her Fellowship Diploma from the Gestalt Institute of Houston in 1977. In 1977, she began training with Richard Bandler, co-developer of Neurolinguistic Programming and received a total of 1000 hrs training in NLP. In the early 1980s, she began training in New York City with Laura Perls, the co-developer of Gestalt Therapy. In 1998, Anne became a Diplomat of the American Psychotherapy Association.
Anne has trained Gestalt and NLP practitioners for past 27 years not only in New Orleans but in New York at the Gestalt Therapy Institute of New York, The Gestalt Institute of Haifa, Israel, the Gestalt Institute of Southern Ohio, the Gestalt Institutes of San Francisco and Santa Cruz, the Modern Gestalt Institute in Philadelphia and the Gestalt Institute of Mexico in Mexico City.
She is a member of the training faculty of the Institute for Humanistic Psychology in Germany and has had a training program in Long Island, New York. She is a member of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, founded by Fritz and Laura Perls in New York City.
Anne has presented at various therapy conferences (Gestalt, NLP, Transactional Analysis, Redecision, Psychodrama, etc.) and also at workshops for the general public all over the US, Europe, Canada and Mexico. She has trained and supervised hundreds of therapists in the art, theory, techniques, ethics and heart of couple and parenting coaching.
At The Gestalt Institute of New Orleans/New York, Anne teaches and supervises a 100 hour Psychogenetic Couple and Parenting Coaching Training Program, a 200 hour Basic Gestalt Training Program, a 500 hour Advanced and an Apprenticeship Training Program. For the past five years, she has also offered an annual five day training program in New Orleans in The Psychogenetic System of couple and family coaching. Her website is www.teachworth.com.
